Introduction
Most Harvard students study theater simply by working at it. A centralized HRDC-run auditioning process, Common Casting, is used to aid actors to find shows to work on. For those who want a more structured learning environment, there are a number of courses available through various departments that focus on various aspects of theater: acting, design, literature. In addition, several workshops are offered each semester which offer the opportunity to work with experienced theater people to develop your skills. And finally, long-time Harvard theater guy David Corlette is offering a semester-long Lighting Design Seminar for you budding lighting designers out there.
Shows Currently Looking for Cast/Crew
- Common Casting! HRDC will be holding common casting for most undergrad theater productions in the fall. Visit the Loeb for more info, or subscribe to the HRDC mailing list for announcements. Most HRDC mailings during the semester include a "Shows Looking for Staff" section which lists all shows on campus that need staff.
